About Lakewood Ranch Local
Lakewood Ranch is one of the fastest growing master planned communities in the country, and every new rooftop needs a plumber, an AC tech, a pool guy and a lawn crew. Lakewood Ranch Local exists to make those choices easier.
What we do
We collect public ratings for home services companies that serve Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, Parrish, Sarasota and the surrounding ZIP codes, then present them side by side. Each listing shows what Google, Yelp, Angi and the Better Business Bureau report, with a link straight to the source.
How the rankings work
The composite score is a weighted average: each platform's rating is weighted by its review count, so a 4.9 from 800 Google reviews counts more than a 5.0 from 6 Yelp reviews. The top 10 list favors local and regional companies with real volume. The lowest rated list requires a public profile with enough reviews or complaints to be meaningful, and we exclude businesses that appear to be closed.
What we are not
We are not a review site. We do not collect reviews, we do not verify individual claims made by reviewers, and we are not affiliated with Lakewood Ranch Communities, Schroeder-Manatee Ranch, Google, Yelp, Angi or the BBB. A low rating is a signal to look closer, not a verdict.
